A Legal Research on Online Disinformation
HARD DISC (Human centered approach and regulatory dimension in developing an interoperable and secure cyberspace) is a winning PNRR project from the “cascade” call of the extended SERICS Partnership issued by the CNR for the selection of project proposals aimed at granting funding from the resources of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), for activities related to “Human, Social, and Legal Aspects,” within the initiative “Security and rights in cyberspace” – SERICS.
The project aims to conduct research that is both nationally impactful and economically sustainable. It begins by reconstructing the regulatory context and identifies the legal, social, and ethical issues surrounding Cybersecurity in both the public and private sectors.
The project involves the University of Roma Tre (Lead Partner); University of Naples Federico II; University of Palermo; University of Pisa; University of Milan-Bicocca; University of Parma; University of Turin; University of Verona; University of Trento.
The University of Pisa analyzes the complex interaction between technology and the exercise of freedom of expression, with particular attention to the issue of online disinformation. The activities of the Unit are characterized by the adoption of a comparative approach to the topics addressed, also thanks to the creation of a network of collaborations between scholars from Pisa and foreign experts.
